Way back in September, Xiaomi launched it’s latest entry level device dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 8A. The company has now announced that the phone is now available in open sale on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home store.
The smartphone comes in two variants – 2GB+32GB and 3GB+32GB priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 6,999 respectively. Available colours includes Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Sunset Red. The phone was previously available through limited-period flash sale rounds. Now interested customers who want to buy the smartphone, will not have to wait for flash sales as it can now be purchased 24×7.
On the front, it has a 6.22-inch waterdrop notch display, it’s an HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 720 by 1520 pixels, the device has a PPI of 271 and 19:9 aspect ratio. It’s an IPS LCD panel screen with 81.3% screen to body ratio, the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 439 Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 1.95GHz, it runs on Android 9 pie with MIUI 10 out of the box and Adreno 505 for graphics or gaming. The processor is also paired with a 2gb/3gb RAM and 32gb internal storage.
In terms of camera, this device spot a single rear camera which is the 12mp camera with f/1.8 aperture accompanied by a led flash, on the front, it has 8mp selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps.
What is keeping the light on is a 5000mAh Li-Po battery which supports fast charging upto 18W.
