According to new reports, Apple’s supplier of components, known as Global Lighting Technologies is preparing to begin the shipping of mini LED displays in the third quarter of 2021 for the new MacBook Pro models to be released soon.
This is according to a report done by DigiTimes. Which they revealed that close sources to Global Lighting Technologies based in Cupertino, said that it is likely that the company will begin shipments of mini LED displays in Q3 of 2021.
These mini LED displays have been planned for high end MacBook Pro devices of the 14 inches and 16 inches models. This will be the very first time that Apple will make their MacBook devices with this mini LED technology. The mini LED display technology has already been used by Apple on the new iPad Pro recently released.
Apart from the mini LED displays that these new MacBook Pro devices will come with, they will also come with their M1 chipset upgraded. These MacBook Pro devices are expected to have a flatter top and flatter bottom and also come with additional slots. These slots include an SD card slot, HDMI port and a magnetic power cable.
The function of these new mini LED display components is to enable the devices to have an higher brightness and a contrast ratio that is impressive. This is according to a report though the news is largely unconfirmed.
