Gionee launches a new Smartphone in India and also a new GBuddy Smart “Life” Watch, they launched the new Gionee F9 Plus with a 6.2 HD+ display which has a resolution of 1520 by 720p Full View Dewdrop Notch Display and it is covered by a Dragontrail Glass and has a 19:9 aspect ratio.

The Gionee F9 Plus isn’t unique in terms of design, it has a U-shaped notch, a little chin with the brand’s name on it, and a two cameras on the rear. The back is made from a glossy finish and the phone is available in two colors which are: Black and Blue.

There is a 13MP camera with F/2.0 aperture inside the notch, the camera has support for Face Unlock, gionee also added a pretty nifty trick to the notch; allowing it to serve as a battery meter.

The rear of the Smartphone houses a dual camera setup which are: 13MP camera with F/1.8 aperture and 2MP camera with F/2.4 aperture and a fingerprint scanner. the camera has so many features such as bokeh mode, night mode, and a beauty mode. You can also use the fingerprint scanner as a shutter button when taking selfies.

The Smartphone is fueled by 1.65GHz octa-core processor that is paired with 3GB of RAM and a 32GB of storage. Gionee added a triple card tray which has space for 2 Nano SIMs and a MicroSD card (256GB max.)

What is keeping the light on is a 4050mAh battery but there is no mention of fast charging, the Gionee F9 Plus runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box but there is no mention of the custom skin on top. It has a MicroUSB port and an audio jack. There is also Dual VoLTE, 2.4GHz WiFi, and A-GPS.

The Smartphone is priced at INR 7,690 ($108), it will be available at retail partner stores and online stores but we didn’t know when.
