We do know that Infinix Mobility is working on her first 5G-smartphones. But Infinix might not be the only Transion subsidiary working on a 5G-enabled smartphone. Tecno Mobility is also got a 5G smartphone in the works. As per the web rumors today, Tecno POVA 5G might be the company’s first 5G device, and it might go official before the year runs out.
As per few leak images shared on Instagram, the Tecno POVA 5G will be powered by the Dimensity 900 octa-core CPU from MediaTek. The Chipset has an Octa-core CPUs split into two 2.4GHz ARM Cortex-A78, and six 2.0GHz, from ARM Cortex-A55 architecture. Memory options includes 8GB RAM, merged with 128 Gigs of built-in storage
The device itself will come in a large 6.9-inches screen, just like the current POVA 2 smartphone. But unlike the POVA 2, this upcoming model will rock 120Hz refresh rating, and it will have 6000mAh battery, possibly with 33W fast charger.
Nothing has been said about the frontal selfie camera, but the rear will have three camera lenses, and the main snapper will be a 50-megapixel main, along with 4-LED lights.
We don’t know if Tecno is got another 5G smartphone in the works, but if they do, and those are not able to get official announcement on or within the month of December, then this POVA 5G might be Tecno’s first 5G smartphone.
Several African countries are prepping to adopt 5G network protocol, with Nigeria being among the latest test-runners. Transion Holding is obviously getting herself ready for her customer within these regions, and we’ll love to see how the POVA 5G battles other 5G-enabled smartphones already selling within the continent, both speed and price wise.
