Coolpad have just announced the COOL 20 Pro in China just as promised. The phone is the direct successor to the older COOL 20, and one of the key upgrade on this model is the presence of 5G network, which was absent on the older model, thanks to the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 900 CPU.

The COOL 20 Pro comes in a 6.58-inches screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels. The panel is IPS, and it has 120Hz refresh rating as well as a traditional dewdrop notch on the head, within which is a single 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The rear of the phone has three lenses; a combination of 50-megapixel main lens with PDAF and f/1.8, 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a third 2-megapixel macro snapper.

The phone is powered by COOLOS 2.0, based on Google Android 11. It has either 6/8GB RAM, paired with a single 128 Gigs of internal storage. The aforementioned CPU has an octa-core CPUs maxed @2.4GHz, along with Mali-G68 GPU.

The Coolpad COOL 20 Pro comes with dual stereo speakers, and it support USB C, with OTG features. Security options includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well as FaceID. It has an 8.3mm thick body, within which is a moderately sized 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Painting on the COOL 20 Pro includes Black, Blue, White and Gold colors. The model is currently on preorder in China, and pricing includes 1,799 yuan for the 6GB RAM option, and 2,099 yuan for the 8GB RAM variant, translating to $282 and $329 US Dollars respectively. The phone is already on Preorder in China, with about 200 yuan for early shoppers.
