OPPO’s A16k and the A55 smartphone have just been introduced in Kenya for the very first time. Both phones are actually in the mid to entry level segment, and both are price under 30,000 Kenyan Shilling. The A16K for example starts at Ksh. 20,000 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while OPPO’s A55 is peaked at Ksh. 26,000 for it 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model.

Both the OPPO A16k, and the A55 and powered by same MediaTek Helio G35 octa-core CPU @2.3GHz, and as mentioned above, both has 4GB RAM. Display is almost same across the two model; 6.52-inches on the A16k and 6.51″ on the A55 model with HD+ screen and IPS panel on both sides. However, the screen on the OPPO A55 is using a dot-notch, while the A16k drops water on the head.

Most importantly, if you prefer camera to savings, the A55 is the way to go. It has a better camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary lens with F/1.8 aperture, along with two other 2-megapixel depth and macro shooter with f/2.4 apertures on both side.

It also have a 16-megapixel frontal selfie lens, while the camera options on the A16k includes a single 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel back and front camera respectively. Also, the A55 has 5000mAh battery with 18W fast USB-C charger, while the A16K is given just 4230mAh battery that is juiced by a 10W micro USB 2.0 Charger.
