Samsung has officially announced the release of it Galaxy A14 smartphone in the Nigerian market. The device automatically becomes the successor and the latest smartphone in the company’s A-series in Nigeria, taking over from the Galaxy A13 4G.

What is the Galaxy A14 All About?

As mentioned above, the A14 is the direct successor to the A13 of last year. Two variants of the phone will be sold in Nigeria; a 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM, or 4GB RAM with 128GB ROM. Both of these are powered by the Helio G80 CPU from MediaTek, accompanied by Mali-G52 GPU.

Samsung Galaxy A14 4G comes with three camera lenses on the rear. These includes a 50-megapixel primary lens, along with 2×2-megapixels for both macro and portrait gymnastics. Selfie duties are handled by a single 13-megapixel lens, held within the notch above the display.

Talking about display, the Galaxy A14 sports a 6.6-inches screen with 1080 x 2408 pixels. This is a PLS panel, and it has an Infinity-V on the head. Running on the interface is Samsung’s One UI 5.0, based on Google Android 13 OS.

The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and it support dual Nano-SIM with 4G LTE network on both sides. Note that there is also a 5G version of the Galaxy A14, but those models are not sold in Nigeria, yet.

Powering the A14 4G is a 5000mah battery with 15W fast charger via USB Type-C. WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 5.1 are some of the wireless connectivity options. Samsung is also offering 2 year of major OS update, along with 3 year of security patches.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy A14 4G is sold in three (3) colors in Nigeria. These includes Black, Green and Silver colors. All these are available in two storage options, which are priced as follows:

  • 4GB + 64GB sold for N116,900 and
  • 4GB + 128GB sold at N126,900

Both model will start selling from next week. Samsung is also offering flexible payment option, where users can own the A14 on a 3-12months contract basis, with a minimum monthly commitment of N7000.
