The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro was released a month ago with a Mediatek Helio G90T. Now, about a few days ago, there is been rumors that the smartphone will have a new variant with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC.

Lu Weibing, the general manager of Redmi brand has said that there isn’t any Redmi Note 8 Pro with a Snapdragon 730G SoC. He made this declaration in response to a Weibo post which reads thus “ I heard that Redmi Note 8 Pro has a Snapdragon version, Snapdragon 730G, 27W fast charge, and an on-screen fingerprint sensor

Lu Weibing replied: “No.” So guys, there won’t be Snapdragon 730G Redmi Note 8 Pro, if you want a Snapdragon Chip powered Redmi device, you can check out other models or better still, wait for next year’s Redmi series.
