DJI has reportedly set a release date of October 25 for its upcoming Osmo Pocket 3 handheld gimbal camera. The new camera is said to feature a 1-inch CMOS sensor and support for 4K120p video recording.
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a successor to the popular Osmo Pocket 2, which was released in 2020. The new camera is expected to feature a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a larger sensor, higher video resolution, and a more advanced autofocus system.
According to leaked promotional materials, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 will have the following specifications:
- 1-inch CMOS sensor with 4K120p video recording
- 2-inch rotating touchscreen display
- 3-axis gimbal for image stabilization
- ActiveTrack 6.0 subject tracking technology
- Full-pixel fast autofocus
- D-LogM 10-bit color profile
- Stereo audio recording
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is expected to be priced at around $449 USD. It is not yet clear when the camera will be available for purchase outside of the United States.
Going by the specifications above, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is going to be a significant upgrade over the Osmo Pocket 2. Other yet-to-be-known details should be known on the 25th of October, which is exactly 12-days from today.
