Infinix Hot 9 with Mediatek Helio A25 and 5000mAh battery announced

Just as promised, Infinix Mobility have announced the latest addition to it Hot-series, dubbed the Infinix Hot 9. The device is the direct successor of last year’s Hot 8, and come with varying upgrades to it predecessor. The new Hot 9 comes with more appealing look and feels than the older hot 8.

From the front, the Hot 9 spots a same 6.6-inch HD+ display, and has same 720 x 1600 pixels resolution with the 8, but this comes with a punch-hole display, instead of the overhead notch used in the hot 8. The rear camera area also get a little redesigned, and now has 4-rear camera sensors and 3-LED flash, all arranged in a vertical order.

The 4-rear camera modules is a combination of 16 MP main sensor, 2 MP wide angle lens, 2 MP depth sensing lens and a VGA AI dedicated sensor. For selfie lovers, there is a single 8-megapixel sensor hidden in the hole upfront, with a single frontal LED flash above the screen.

On the hardware department, the Infinix Hot 9 is powered by the Mediatek MT6762D, also known as Helio A25. The chip is a little downgraded version of the higher clock Helio P22. It is an octa-core CPU with 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging. It has space for two 4G VoLTE SIM cards and a 128GB expandable storage. There is also a rear placed fingerprint scanner coupled with FaceID. Audio lovers will also benefits from the bundled DTS Audio Technology.

The device runs on the latest Google Android 10 underneath Infinix XOS 6.0 Dolphin out of the box. The device is currently sold via Lazada in Indonesia with a final price of 1899000 Indonesian Rupiah. Launch in other regions like India, Pakistan, Nigeria and other African countries are expected to follow soon.
