A Tecno phone with Helio G90T gaming CPU shows up online

A brand new Tecno phone, modeled Tecno CE9 is in the works, and according to GeekBench listing, this new Tecno smartphone will be powered by the Helio G90T CPU. The Mediatek Helio G90T is a dedicated gaming Chip with a dual core 2.05 GHz based on ARM Cortex-A76 and Hexa-core 2.0 GHz from Cortex-A55, arrange in a big.LITTLE architecture, and pegged with Mali-G76 MC4 GPU.

This CPU has been used in a handful of smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, UMiDIGI S5 Pro and some few Realme devices like the Realme 6 and the Realme Narzo.

For the records, Tecno have not launched any smartphone with the Mediatek Helio G-series yet, and the upcoming Tecno CE9 might be among the first smartphone on the Helio G-series platform. But considering the fact that Helio G90T is in the upper hand mid-range CPUs, the same might probably end up in a flagship Tecno device like the Phantom-series.

Now about the Phantom-series, we have told you earlier that a rumored Tecno Phantom 10 was in the works, and that the Helio G70 SoC, (same CPU used in the Infinix Note 7), will be the driving force in the heart of the phone.

But the leak also stated that the Phantom 10 will come in two versions; the Vanilla version with 6GB RAM, and a higher version dubbed Phantom 10 Premier with 8GB RAM, which is were we think the Mediatek Helio G90T might be used, since the listing on GeekBench also mention 8GB RAM.

So, except Tecno CE9 will be a fresh series of gaming phone from Tecno, it might likely end up in the flagship Phantom-series, probably the Phantom 10 Premier. But since all these are speculations, it is highly advised that you take it in with a little pinch of salt.
