Huawei’s nova Y90 smartphone is now official in Nigeria. The device is the succeeding model to the nova Y70 Plus which was announced in Nigeria few months back. The nova Y90 offers better screen, better design, better camera specs, larger internal RAM and a faster CPU in comparison to the aging Y70.
Recall that the Y70 came with Kirin 710 octa-core CPU. In contrary to that, the nova Y90 is powered by the Snapdragon 680 octa-core CPU from Qualcomm, the same chipset used on the nova 9 SE. The Nigerian model of the Y90 is available in either 6/8GB RAM, paired with a single 128GB ROM.
The Huawei nova Y90 sports a 6.7-inches screen on the front. This display panel is IPS, with a dot notch in the middle. The screen has 1080 x 2388 pixels, and it supports 90Hz refresh rating.
Coming to the camera specifications, the nova Y90 has three camera lenses on the rear. These includes a 50-megapixel main shooter with f/1.8 aperture; a 2-megapixel macro and a third 2-megapixel depth shooter. For your selfie needs, there is a single 8-megapixel lens within the dot notch on the front.
While the more cheaper nova Y70 has a 6000mAh battery, the Y90 is only got 5000mAh battery capacity, but with a faster 40W charger. Huawei says this charger can push the Y90 from 0-50% in just 30 minutes. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, support dual 4G SIMs and boot the companies EMUI 12 out of the box.
