September 2022 will make it exactly three (3) years since the first BLU BOLD N1 smartphone was announced. Since then, BLU had announced plethora of feature phones and smartphones, including the company’s first 108-megapixel camera phone. But nothing was said about the Bold series, except now.
From September 2019, and fast forwarding into August 2022, BLU seems to have put all pieces together for the successor in the the BOLD series. The company had teased earlier today via her verified twitter handle that the next BOLD smartphone will be unveiled on the 11th of August, which is just few hours away.
The teaser did not mention what the next BOLD smartphone will be called. But based on some early online certifications documents, and some Benchmark test seen on GeekBench, we know it going to be called BLU BOLD N2.
We also know that the phone will come in a 6.6-inches AMOLED screen, and it will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 CPU. By this CPU, it also means the upcoming BOLD N2 will be 5G-enabled, making it the second 5G phone from BLU; the first being the F91 5G.
When the BOLD N1 arrived back in September 2019, one thing that set it apart was it distraction free display. The phone came in a 6.4-inches notch-less screen, relying on a motorized pop-up for it selfie camera lens.
As a sharp contras to that, the upcoming BOLD N2 will utilized a pill-notch within the screen upfront. This notch will hold two selfie cameras that will include a 16-megapixel main sensor, and a secondary 2-megapixel depth lens.
And unlike the G91 Max that houses a whooping 108-megapixel camera on it rear, the BOLD N2 may be given a 64-megapixel shooter on it rear, along with three other auxiliary lenses. Other expected specs on the device includes a 4200mAh battery with 30W fast charger, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a single 8GB RAM with a 128GB ROM.
