Cubot, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced the KingKong 9, a new rugged smartphone that is designed to withstand extreme conditions.
The KingKong 9 is IP68/IP69K certified, which means that it is dustproof, waterproof, and shockproof. It also meets the MIL-STD-810G military standard for durability.
In addition to its rugged design, the KingKong 9 is also equipped with powerful specs. It has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a triple-lens rear camera system with a 108MP main sensor.
In additional to the main display, the KingKong 9 also has a rear watch-size screen which should cater for notification among other similar functions.
The KingKong 9 also has a large 10,600mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Interestingly, the device is powered by Google Android 13 OS out of the box.
