Exynos 1080 running Vivo X60 and X60 Pro announced

Vivo have just announced her X60 and X60 Pro smartphone in an event in China. While Xiaomi opted-in for the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU in her Mi 11 smartphone launched yesterday, Vivo is not taking the route of SD-888 CPU just yet, instead, the new X60 and X60 Pro smartphones draws strength from Samsung’s self-developed Exynos 1080 CPU.

Of course, there is more to the device than the inherent CPU! Both phones comes in a 6.56-inch FHD+ display with HDR10+, 1080 x 2376 pixels, E3 AMOLED panel, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a dot-not in the top-middle of the display, and this is where the frontal 32-megapixel selfie snapper is kept.

On the camera department, the X60 Pro packs quad rear cameras with Zeiss optics lenses that includes a 48MP main camera with Sony IMX598 f/1.48 aperture main camera with second-generation 4-axis OIS anti-shake feature, 13MP 50mm portrait camera, 13MP 120° wide-angle camera with 2.5cm macro support and an 8MP 125mm 5x periscope telephoto lens that has up to 60x zoom

This set up is almost same on the vanilla X60, except for the absence of a periscope lens, and while the X60 Pro has  1X, 2X, 5X motion capture, the standard X60 supports only 1X and 2X multi-focus motion capture. Both versions has a 32MP camera inside the punch-hole upfront, and said to offer above 92% screen-to-body ratio.

Just as the Mi 11 is the first commercial smartphone to offer Snapdragon 888 CPU, so also, the Vivo X60-series are the first to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1080 SoC, a 5nm Chip with built-in 5G network. The Chip has an octa-core CPUs clocked at 2.8GHz, along with Mali-G78 GPU, 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 UFS 3.1 internal storage.
