Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is the latest device from Redmi under the Note-series. The device is a game-centric device and as such, runs on the latest Mediatek Helio G90T CPU. It even comes with a dedicated gaming pad, which users can buy under $25. As for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, you are getting a larger screen estate of 6.53-inch Full-HD+ display, with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Since a mechanical pop-up camera is abscent on the Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi gave the device a Waterdrop notch Cut-out, which holds the front facing camera sensor.
For the hardware department, the Note 8 Pro runs on the aforementioned Octa-core Mediatek G90T SoC, clocked at 2.0 GHz, along with Mali-G76 GPU, 6/8 GB RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage, expandable up 256 GB via microSD card. The device itself is designed into a brushed aluminium body, and protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 upfront. The overall body measures at 161.3 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm, and weighs at 199 grams with above 84% screen-to-body.
On the camera department, the Redmi Note 8 Pro packs four (4) camera setup at the back: a large 64-megapixel main sensor, a secondary 5-megapixel wide angle lens, a tertiary 2-megapixel depth sensor and the fourth 2-megapixel dedicated macro camera lens, along with a dual-LED flash. At the front, Xiaomi made us of a single 20-megapixel selfie sensor, for video chatting and FaceID.
The Note 8 Pro also comes with a physical fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the device, and comes with hybrid SIM slot. It also has Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C interface, and run Android 9.0 (Pie), based on MIUI v10. Power is supplied by a 4500mAh battery, with 18W fast charging.
