Although the 2020 edition of Mobile World Congress (MWC) was cancelled due to Coronavirus outbreak. But GSMA, the organizers of the event, still announced the various awards anyway, wherein the OnePlus 7T Pro emerged the best smartphone of the year in the device category.
John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd congratulated OnePlus and it 7T Pro for winning the award of best smartphone for the season. According to his words;
Our congratulations to OnePlus for winning the award, as OnePlus 7T Pro is declared as the best smartphone at the GSMA’s GLOMO Awards 2020. The GLOMO’s are a testament to the incredible innovation and ingenuity shaping our industry and it is truly an outstanding achievement to have been selected by our esteemed judging panels.
The OnePlus 7T Pro was recognized as ‘Virtually unsurpassed’ according to the panel of judges with its ultra fast processor, smooth screen and software experience.
For remembrance sake, the OnePlus 7T Pro was announced back in 2019 with a 6.67″ inch display, having a pop-up selfie camera. The device was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus and has 90Hz refresh rate. It also run Android 10.0 with OxygenOS out of the box, and offer up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
