There are sort of rumors going on last month that the Huawei Mate 30 series will be launched without Google apps or Google services, today a new source confirms this to be true and also list another device that this was affected with.

In accordance with an Asian Tech reviewer Nikkei, Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 pro and Mate X will be launched without any Google services or apps, (i know this could be a very deal breaker for many) what this actually means is that there will be no Play store, no pre-installed Chrome browser, no Gmail app, no YouTube app, no Maps e.t.c.

The loss of the Play store and Google suite is the biggest let down and could be a very deal breaker for many, imagine buying a Smartphone without Google play store, and this is the apps that third party apps depends on to function effectively.

Nevertheless, Huawei Mate 30, Mate 30 Pro and Mate X will still run on Android operating system, but only that it will be the open source, not the one that has Google services, which is what we have been using over the years.

What causes this is because of that issues Huawei had with the US Authorities and thus putting Huawei in an “entity list” which prevent US companies to partner or do business with Huawei, which includes Google and its Licensing app suite which is a big deal, even Facebook bans Huawei too.

Huawei has been giving three months reprieves but that only applies to those Smartphones they have released before the incident with the US Authorities, Some sources are estimating that this will hit Huawei’s shipments hard and as you can see, sales outside of China could be plunge by 30% or even more. The Huawei Mate 30 series are expected to go official from September 19 and the Mate X could go on sale from earlier October.
