In a surprising move, Huawei has officially retired the P series name, replacing it with the all-new Pura line for their flagship smartphones. While the company remained tight-lipped on specific device names or release dates, rumors of a quiet launch before the end of April had been swirling for some time. Now, it seems those rumors have been confirmed.
Leaks have already revealed exciting details about the Pura 70 lineup. Reliable insider Digital Chat Station shed light on what to expect, including not only memory configurations but also a wide range of color options. The Pura 70 series will boast a whopping four models:
- Pura 70: This base model will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Color options include Ice Crystal Blue, Feather Black, Snowy White, and Sakura Rose Red.
- Pura 70 Pro: This upgraded version will offer two storage configurations – 512GB and 1TB – alongside 12GB of RAM. Color choices include Snowy White, Roland Purple, and Feather Black.
- Pura 70 Pro+: This top-tier Pro+ model goes a step further with 16GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of storage. Color options include Light Woven Silver, String White, and Phantom Black.
- Pura 70 Ultra: The pinnacle of the series, the Ultra is rumored to boast a massive 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, housed in a luxurious ceramic body available in both white and black. Additionally, a special “Lezhen Edition” is hinted at, potentially similar to the Mate 60 Pro’s bundled TWS headphone variant.
Huawei executive Yu Chengdong recently told China Business News that “Pura 70 can be considered as P70” and hinted at “good news in two days.” Considering Thursday is a popular day for Chinese tech launches, all signs point to an official announcement on April 18th.
