Infinix have just announced her Zero 5G smartphone in Kenya. The device is actually the first 5G smartphone from Infinix, and has been around since the early days of the month of February. Launching alongside, is the company’s Smart 6 Plus, being an affordable alternative for those who may not want to spend on the flagship model.
As far as the specs goes, nothing change from the initial model. It is the same 6.78-inches FHD+ smartphone, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 CPU. The Chipset has 8-core processors, and it is backed by Mali-G68 GPU, 8GB RAM and a 128-Gigs of built-in storage.
Both the Zero 5G and the Smart 6 Plus are preloaded with Google Android 11 out of the box, although the Chipset on the Smart 6 Plus comes from MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core CPU, along with 2GB RAM and 32-Gigabyte of built-in storage.
On the camera department, the Zero 5G has three lenses on the rear. These includes a 48-megapixel primary sensors, 13-megapixel telephoto lens, and a third 2-megapixel depth shooter. You are also getting four LED light on the rear, while a single 16-megapixel selfie cam is used with the Dot-notch on the front.
On the Smart 6 Plus, the camera setup includes 8-megapixel main, and a secondary AI Depth sensor, while a single 5-megapixel selfie lens is housed above the display on the front. The display actually is a 6.6-inches HD+ screen, and it has a dewdrop notch on the head.
There is also a 5000mAh battery on both models, but the flagship Zero 5G is given a faster 33W charger. For those that care about color, the Zero 5G is available in Cosmic Black, Skylight Orange and Horizon Blue, while the Smart 6 Plus comes in Purple and Graphite Black colors.
The Zero 5G will be available for purchase from the coming week, although pricing for the model is yet to be revealed. The Smart 6 Plus on the other hand is already on sales via ke.xpark.com, and the asking price is Ks. 12,299
