Infinix mobility has officially introduced the company’s first 5G smartphone in Nigeria just as it has promised. The device which goes by the name Zero 5G, is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 900 CPU, come with 8GB RAM, and priced a pinch under 170,000 Nigerian Naira.

The phone sports a 6.78-inches IPS screen with 1080 x 2460 pixels,120Hz refresh, 240Hz sampling rate and a dot notch cutout on the top. The storage capacity is 128-Gigs, expandable up to 512GB via SD-card. The aforementioned 8GB RAM is also expandable up to 11-Gigs as well.

Camera specifications on the phone includes a 48-megapixel primary shooter, 13-megapixel telephoto lens, and a third AI depth sensor, along with four LED flash. Selfie lovers are given a single 16-megapixel sensor on the front, and this has a dedicated LED flash as well.

Obviously, the key selling point of the Zero 5G is it 5G network capability. Infinix said the phone has 13 5G bands, so you can expect worldwide compatibility with major 5G network providers. Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charger, while Google Android 11 with XOS 10 is available out of box.

Contrary to what internet rumors had suggested, the Zero 5G did not get onscreen biometrics scanner, rather, Infinix resorted to a side mounted fingerprint scanner, which also doubles as the power button.

The Infinix Zero 5G is already available in Nigeria both via online and offline streams. It comes in three colors of Skylight Orange, Horizon Blue and Cosmic Black, and price at N169,500, an equivalent of $299 US Dollars. The device will also be announced in India on the 14th of February, which is exactly 6-days from today.
