Next flagship Motorola phone to sport 200MP lens with Snapdragon 8 Gen2

Motorola Edge X30 is the company’s current flagship smartphone. A sub $400 device powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 CPU. This however, might be changing soon as new leaks suggests that Motorola is now working a new flagship device that will be powered by a sequel model to the SD8 Gen1.

As per reports, the upcoming Motorola device is codename Frontier, and it will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU model SM8475.

Qualcomm had previously confirmed to be working on the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, which is expected to succeed the current model, however, the company have not officially revealed the model number to expect.

Recall that the current Snapdragon 8 Gen1 used on the Moto Edge X30, and few other flagship phone is modeled SM8450, so chances might be that the purported SM8475 for the Moto device, might be for the Snapdragon 8 Gen2.

It is also noteworthy that Motorola was the first company to introduce a smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s 8 Gen 1 CPU, and it won’t be too surprising if the company bang the similar deal with Qualcomm once again.

But Snapdragon 8 Gen2 might not be official until quarter 4, meaning this upcoming Moto flagship might not debut until then.

Other rumored specs for the Motorola Frontier includes a 200MP main, 50MP ultra wide and a 12MP telephoto camera system. The device might also support up to 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging and will boot Google Android 12 out of the box.
