So Oppo has launched the all new Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G and Oppo Reno 3 5G smartphone today as promised. This two devices are succeeding the recent released Oppo Reno2 series which was released way back in August this year. We are glad that Oppo incorporated 5G Network on this devices. There is a large battery capacity that supports fast charging and a quad camera set up at the rear.
It seems Oppo has heard the users of the Reno2. They are complaining that the Reno2 series are a little bit bulky and hefty. But with this new Reno3 series, they are light weight. They weighs around 180 grams and they are pretty thick at 8mm. Even the Pro version is lighter than the standard Reno3 and it has a curved display. Let’s just take a look at this two devices in detail.
Oppo Reno3 key specificications
Going to the specs, on the front, it has a 6.4-inch display. It’s a Full HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels. The device has a PPI of 411 and 20:9 aspect ratio. It’s an Amoled panel screen with 84.2% screen to body ratio, the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1000L Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.96GHz, it runs on Android 10 Q with ColorOS 7 out of the box. The processor is also paired with an 8gb of RAM and 128gb of internal storage or a 12gb of RAM and a 128gb of internal storage.
In terms of camera, this device spot a quad rear cameras which are the 64mp camera with f/1.7 aperture accompanied by a led flash, 8mp ultra wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2mp camera with f/2.4 and a 2mp depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, on the front, it has a 32mp selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 30fps. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.4GHz. The Oppo Reno3 Pro runs on Android 10 with the latest ColorOS 7 out of the box. For graphics or gaming, there is an Adreno 620 GPU.
Quad camera setup is also present here which includes a 48mp camera with f/1.7 aperture accompanied by a led flash, 13mp telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 8mp ultra wide camera with f/2.2 and a 2mp B/W sensor with f/2.4 aperture, on the front, it has a 32mp selfie shooter with f/2.4 aperture. What is keeping the light on is a 4,025mAh battery which supports 30W fast charging. The OPPO Reno3 5G starts at 3399 yuan ($486) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant and goes up to 3699 yuan ($528) for the 12GB RAM and 128GB variant.
The OPPO Reno3 Pro 5G starts at 3999 yuan ($571) for the 8GB +128GB variant and goes up to 4499 yuan ($643) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. The 8GB RAM model goes on sale on December 31 while the 12GB model goes on sale on January 10, 2020.
