Transion owned Oraimo have just released the second variant of it W-series smartwatch in the Nigerian market. The smart wrist device, Oraimo W2 comes in a 1.28-inches TFT display with 240 x 240 pixels resolution. The model is the direct successor to the W1 smartwatch, and just like it predecessor, the new comer is IP67 certified, which means it can survive contact with water.

The device is built into a Zinc Alloy TPU body, and houses a 180mAh battery on the inside. Although the battery capacity is about 60mAh smaller than the older version, but it is worth noting that the new comer is built into a 42 x 42 x 13 mm body, instead of the 44.5 x 44.5 x 9.6 mm body of the older model.

Oraimo is one of the many tech companies owned by Transion Holdings. The list includes Tecno, iTel, Infinix, Synix etc.

Some of the key functionality of Oraimo’s new W2 smartwatch includes heart rate monitoring, activity & sleep tracking, notifications management among others. You can also control music playbacks and stopwatch functionality with watch. You are also getting 24 sport modes including running, walking, cycling, swimming and more.

There is also Bluetooth 4.2, and the bundled 180mAh lithium polymer battery can offer up to 20 days battery backup. The smartwatch will work both on iPhone and Android, but for better customization, you may need to download Oraimo’s Joywear2 App, available both on Apple iOS and Google Playstore.

As for pricing, the Oraimo W2 smartwatch is available in black color. It will be sold via the company’s official store, and early shoppers will get a discounted price of N15,900 instead of the standard N24,800 price tag.
