ZTE have just unveiled it Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ with crazy everything specification. On top of that is what looks like a futuristic design merged with top-class notch-less, punch-less display with an under-screen selfie camera sensor.
All you should know about Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+
Being a gaming smartphone, choice of processor was no brainer. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile CPU seats in the helm of affairs, while offering RAM options from from 8-12GB for the Pro model, while the Pro+ version gets 12/16GB RAM.
The maximum storage you’ll get on the standard Pro version is 256GB. But you can get up to 1TB of storage should you decide to go the way of the Pro+ model. Another notable difference is in the battery compartment.
The standard Pro model will get you 6000mAh battery, but only 80W fast charging is available here. This is far more than the charging speed on most current flagship smartphones already. But if you go with the Pro+ model, then you are getting a 5000mAh battery paired with a whooping 165W fast charging.
Coming to the screen, the Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ feature an OLED screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also has 960Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming + DC dimming, a 1300 nits of peak brightness and a crazy 93.7% screen-to-body ratio.
Crazy enough is the presence of what ZTE describes as ICE 11.0 magic cooling system, rocking a built-in fan + full-through air duct. It is the first 3D ice-level dual-pump 2068mm³ super large VC liquid cooling. It keeps it graphene pipes directly under the screen, along with up to 10 layers of cooling materials, leading to a reduced surface temperature by 16° C.
In addition to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, and the flagship Adreno 740 GPU, the Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ also comes with a dedicated Red Core v2 gaming Chip made by ZTE. These Chipset brings enhanced vibrations and sound effects, as well as controlling gaming lighting effects during game actions.
The Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ are not camera centric smartphones by default, but the camera specifications are no slouch either. The duo comes with two camera lenses on the rear. These includes a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 main sensor featuring 1/1.57 sensor size. In addition to this, there is also an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a third 2-megapixel macro sensor.
The Red Magic 8 Pro comes in 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9 mm body, and weighs about 228 grams. The Pro+ model has 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9 mm, scaling to 230 grams of weight. Both models sports in-display fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, Stereo speakers, Dual Smart PA and 3 microphone setup.
