Xiaomi has just confirmed that the upcoming Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will be the first Xiaomi phone to come with IP68 water resistance.
This means that the phone will be dust and water resistant, making it ideal for use in wet or dusty environments.
The phone will also have a record-breaking 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, similar to what is expected on the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro.
In addition to the IP68 water resistance, the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will also have a 1.5K display, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a PWM of 2880 Hz.
This will make the display incredibly smooth and clear, even when gaming or watching videos. The phone will also have a 2600 nits peak brightness, making it easy to see in direct sunlight.
But unlike the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will be powered by the Dimensity 9200+ chip, which should be a worth contender to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC on the Ace 2 Pro.
The phone will also have a triple-camera system, with a 108MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and an 8MP macro sensor.
Here is a table summarizing the key features of the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition:
