Tecno Mobile has been a long term loyal patronizer of Mediatek CPUs. According to our records, the company has launched only one smartphone running Snapdragon processor till date, and that is the Tecno Camon iTwin launched back in September 2018. And since then, it has been Mediatek upon Mediatek.

But if the current rumors are true, Tecno might have a Snapdragon running smartphone on the way, and according to a reliable source, this new series of Tecno phone will be coming under the Camon 15 moniker.

According to the source, the Tecno Camon 15 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU. This is an an Octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz along with Adreno 610 GPU, and up to 4GB RAM, all housed in a large 6.5-inch HD+ display.

Tecno has also revealed on her tweeter page that two smartphones are on the way, both of which will bring great camera improvements, and shall indeed be named under it Camon series. But the two device will come with different screen technology.

The one in the first tweet above will come with a punch-hole screen like the current Camon 12 Air, and the one in the second tweet below will obviously come with a pop-up selfie camera, like the upcoming Infinix 5 Pro.

Both tweets above could be pointing to same Camon 15, perhaps with the first with punch-hole screen being the standard variant, and the one with pop-up selfie, being the Tecno Camon 15 Pro.

Other sources have also suggested that the upcoming Camon 15 will bear four camera modules at the back, with the main sensor being a 48-megapixel unit, accompanied by an ultra-wide angle 8-megapixel sensors along with two additional 2-megapixel camera modules, being a dedicated depth and macro lenses respectively.

Finally, the device is also said to run the latest Google Android 10 out the box, which will be based on a newer version of HiOS. But while these will be a viable update, it important to note that Tecno has not issued any official statement concerning the Camon 15 yet, so you might wanna take in all the specs above with a pinch of salt.

  3. Hi…Am a tecno lover 10yrs down the line.
    But for sure you did not do me justice when you brought the tecno camon 12 pro..its camera is pathetic, the photos are not real one looks like he/she is deformed.
    Now this has forced me to check another type of phones just to make sure i have a better camera that is of good use when taking photos
    Or is it the 3cameras….then merge them to be just two or even one? Camon 11 pro was the best for photos.
    Kindly bring it back for me.ill appreciate.But all in all you the best
