Tecno’s POP 7 Pro is now selling in full force in Nigeria and a few other African countries ahead of any official listing. Browsing through a handful of online and offline stores in Nigeria revealed that the POP 7 Pro is already on sale, packing similar specs to the company’s latest Spark Go 2023.
As per the listing, the Tecno Pop 7 Pro, which is modeled as BF7 has a 6.6-inch HD+ screen, along with either 3/4GB RAM and 64 Gigs of expandable internal storage. The model also comes with Tecno’s Memory Fusion technology, giving it the ability to get up to 6GB RAM.
Sadly, some of these online stores have ignorantly listed the device as having an 8-core Helio A25 CPU. On the contrary, the new POP 7 Pro from Tecno is powered by a quad-core ARM MT6761V/WBB, also known as Helio A22 Chipset, the same SoC used on the recent Spark Go 2023.
The model comes with two camera lenses on the rear; a 13-megapixel main lens, paired with a QVGA depth sensor, along with an LED flash, while a 5-megapixel selfie shooter is used on the front. The phone gets a 5000mAh battery power that is charged over USB Type-C, while Google Android 12 with HiOS 12 runs out of the box.

The POP 7 Pro is available in two storage options in Nigeria; 3GB RAM with 64GB ROM, or 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM. Pricing for these models starts around N64,000 for the base model. Color options should include Endless Black, Nebula Purple, and Uyuni Blue, the same colors painted on the Spark Go 2023.
