Tecno has announced the POP 8, the latest addition to its budget-friendly smartphone lineup. The POP 8 is a successor to the POP 7, and it comes with a number of notable improvements, including a 90Hz display, and a more powerful chipset.
The POP 8 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The 90Hz refresh rate makes the display look and feel smoother, especially when scrolling through web pages, playing games, and watching videos.
The POP 8 is powered by the Unisoc Tiger T606 octa-core chipset, which is paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The storage can be further expanded using a microSD card.
The POP 8 has a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 13-megapixel main sensor and a QVGA AI depth sensor. On the front, the phone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The POP 8 is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports Bluetooth 5.0. It runs on Android 13 (Go edition).
