TECNO Sonic 1 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds is now official and selling in Nigeria. The audio wearable device is equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, and comes with up to 50 hours continuous battery backup.
It is announced in collaboration with Adedamola Adefolahan, aka Fireboy DML. Fireboy is a Nigerian singer who was also the face behind Tecno’s Spark 9-series. As a result, the new Tecno earbud is also called Sonic 1 Fireboy DML Earbuds in some regions of the country.
The Wireless earbud is backed by Bluetooth version 5.3, offering low latency and up to 10 meters straight in open air connectivity. The wearables comes with four microphone setup (two in each ear). These setup offers noise cancellation, but only when making or receiving calls.
As far as design and built is concerned, the TECNO Sonic 1 wireless earbuds comes in a plastic body. User interaction is handled by a touch control system that offers multiple gestures. The device also support Tecno’s Audpub App, which can be downloaded from both Google Play Store, and Apple App Store.
Coming to audio quality, there is a 10mm optimized audio drivers in each ear of the Sonic 1 wireless earbuds. Tecno said the setup can deliver richer and a more immersive audio experience no matter where you are.
In addition, the earbuds can be used either half in-ear or full in-ear mode, depending either you want to hear your environment, or just hear your music. It is also worth noting that the earbud is IPX certified for water and sweat resistance.
Finally, Tecno has pre-built a 45mAh battery to each ear of the buds, and these can deliver up to 6.5 hours of music playback. The case however has a larger 800mAh battery on the inside with USB-C charging interface, and it brings extra 43.5 hours battery backup to the table, a total of 50 hours of continuous usage. The TECNO Sonic 1 Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds is currently available on Jumia, as well as other online and offline stores, and the asking price is around N16,000 in Nigeria.
