Vanilla Motorola Edge 30 with Snapdragon 778G+ and 8GB RAM now official

Motorola have just announced the vanilla Edge 30 5G smartphone. The model comes as the smaller version to the Edge 30 Pro, and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+.

Unlike the Pro model, the standard Edge 30 smartphone comes in a compact 6.5-inches screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels. Interestingly, the device has an AMOLED panel, slammed with an impressive 144Hz fast refresh rate.

The screen has 1 Billion colors, support HD10+ and come with a dot-notch in the middle, where 32MP selfie camera is kept.

Turning to the back, the Motorola Edge 30 is given three main camera lenses. Of these three, the main lens and the ultrawide snapper are capped at 50-megapixels, while the third lens is a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

Motorola is marketing the Edge 30 as the lightest 5G smartphone. The device actually comes in 159.38 x 74.236 x 6.79 mm and weighs at just 155 grams. For comparison sake, Xiaomi vanilla 12 with 6.28-inches screen weighs 179 grams, Asus Zenfone 8 with 5.9-inches weighs 169 grams, and Apple iPhone 13 with 6.1-inches weighs a whooping 174 grams.

The battery on the inside of the phone though, is capped at 4020mAh, thankfully 33W fast charger is added. The device comes in a single 8GB RAM, with either 128/256-Gigs of non-expandable storage options.

The Moto Edge 30 5G comes in Meteor Grey, Supermoon Silver and Aurora Green. It will be available in Europe from €449.99 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, and equivalent of $474.
