The Vivo S5 has been spotted in a promotional video for Esquire magazine, the brand ambassador who is Chinese rap singer and dancer, Cai Xukun was seen holding the upcoming smartphone. It is said that the smartphone will debut in China as the Vivo S5.
In the image above, the brand ambassador was seen holding the mysterious Vivo phone with gradient color at rear. At the rear design of the phone, it is equipped with a diamond-shaped quad camera unit with LED flash below it, you all know that smartphones with vertical and square shaped quad camera system have arrived in the market, but this Vivo phone sports a distinctive camera design. This unique design indicates that it could be an upper mid-range.
Looking at the top of the device, you can see a 3.5mm headjack and we can’t see a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, maybe it will spot an under-display fingerprint scanner. Honor has released the youth version of the Honor 20 Lite, maybe this Vivo phone might be the Youth Edition of the Vivo S1.
Speculations had it to be called the Vivo S5, but if you look at the ways Vivo names smartphones, this is supposed to be called the Vivo S3, but since they had it to be called the Vivo S5, it might come with a much powerful specs than the Vivo S1 Pro.
We should wait and see if it should come with the said moniker and the launch date seems imminent since the smartphone was somehow teased in the promo video.
