Vivo recently launched the Vivo Y3 4GB RAM and 64GB RAM variant last week in China, now they have decided to launch a toned down version of the Vivo Y3 dubbed Vivo Y3 standard edition. It comes in two colours which are Ink Blue and Jade Red, and the smartphone is available for purchase via Vivo’s official Chinese website at a price tag of Yuan 999.
The key specifications of the Vivo Y3 standard edition was already leaked before its launch today, it comes with a 6.35-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1544×720 pixels, a 19.3:9 ratio and has a waterdrop notch design. It is powered by Octa-core Snapdragon 439 Chip paired with a 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via MicroSD card. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on Funtouch OS 9.1.
For photography, it comes equipped with an AI dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel as a primary sensor with PDAF, F/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.4 aperture alongside an LED flash. On the front, it carries an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Camera features include HDR, beauty, panorama, professional mode and portrait bokeh.
In terms of security, it utilises a rear mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock. The Vivo Y3 standard edition also comes preloaded with Jovi Voice Artificial Intelligence Assistant button and with a game box, with background hang-up and e-sports mode 2.0 for better gaming experience.
