Xiaomi has announced that the first smartphone to be produced using its new “Xiaomi Smart Manufacturing Digital Intelligence System” 2.0 will be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.
The new system is said to be smarter and more precise, with precision reaching the micron level. This will allow Xiaomi to produce foldable smartphones that are thinner and stronger than ever before.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is also expected to feature four cameras with Leica lenses. This will be the first time that Xiaomi has partnered with Leica for its foldable smartphones.
The cameras are said to offer “full focus,” which means that they will be able to focus on subjects even when they are moving quickly.
Other rumored specifications for the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 50W fast wireless charging and 67W fast wired charging, and Hover Mode.
Hover Mode is a new feature that allows you to use gestures at the bottom half of the screen for pause/play videos, zoom in/out, adjust brightness and/or volume, etc.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is expected to be launched next month in China. It is not yet clear if the phone will be available in other markets.
