Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone, the Redmi A2 Plus, in Nigeria, with a price tag of N52,900. The phone comes with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600px and a 20:9 aspect ratio, powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 CPU for a smooth and seamless experience.
The Redmi A2 Plus features 32GB of internal storage and 2/3GB of RAM, which can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 12 Go Edition, optimized for devices with lower RAM capacity.
In terms of photography, the Redmi A2 Plus features a dual-camera setup with an 8MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP front camera for taking selfies. It can record 1080p video at 30fps.
The phone is available in Light Blue, Light Green, and Black colors, and comes with dual Nano-SIM support with both 3G/4G networks. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and micro USB connectivity.
The Redmi A2 Plus is powered by a fairly large 5000mAh battery, and combined with the power optimized Helio G36 CPU, users should expect an extended period of usage from their device. It also support 10W charging via a Micro USB 2.0, which is the down side of the phone.
