A recent report from Counterpoint has revealed that, the market share for Apple’s iPad product models haa increased in market share in the first quarter of 2021. The growth of the shares of these tablet models was seen across every single model. Apple, the technology giant based in Cupertino, has had its iPad models continue to perform strongly in the first quarter of 2021.
The market share for Apple’s tablets has shown a remarkable growth rate of up to 53% year on year. And the tablets have a total market share of 37% of all of Apple’s product shares. During the Q1 of 2020, iPad shipments made up a total of 30% of market shares for Apple. The Counterpoint Research report also further noted that, it seemed that due to the lesser competition in the tablet market last year due to Corona epidemic, Samsung and Apple both benefitted more.
Another shocking fact from the report shows that Apple sold more units of their iPad tablets in 2020 than they did in 2019. Apple’s sales of iPad models continue to grow all over the world. There is especially significant growth in Japan of recent.
Apart from Apple having a significant percent of market shares in first quarter of 2021, Samsung and Lenovo also grew in first quarter of this year. Huawei’s market share took a dive from 11% last year to only 5% in this year’s first quarter.
