IQOO Neo 855 has been launched today, this smartphone is the successor of IQOO Neo, the reason they actually added the 855 suffix on its moniker is because it is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC which is a good upgrade considering the fact that the recent IQOO Neo comes with the Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The device comes in four variants and their prices are detailed below:

  • 6GB RAM + 64GB (UFS 2.1) = ¥1998 (~$283)
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB = ¥2298 (~$325)
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB = ¥2498 (~$353)
  • 8GB RAM + 256GB = ¥2698 (~$382).

The phone will be available for pre-order starting today up until October 31 when it will be available for purchase.

For specs, it comes with a 6.38-inch Full HD+ waterdrop notch AMOLED display which has a 1080 x 2340 resolution with DC Dimming and HDR10. It is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC with FunTouchOS 9 slapped on top of it, the FunTouchOS 9 features MultiTurbo 2.0. According to IQOO, they did a lab tests which shows response time has increased by 30% with MultiTurbo 2.0 compared to the Snapdragon 845 version.

Liquid cooling system is onboard which can reduce the CPU’s temperature by up to 10 degrees and the surface temperature by up to 3 degrees. The processor is also paired with a 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage with a faster UFS 3.0 storage.

In terms of photography, it comes equipped with a triple rear cameras which consists of 12MP f/1.79 Sony IMX363 primary rear camera + 8MP f/2.2 120° ultrawide-angle camera + 2MP f/2.4 depth sensing camera. On the front, it has a 16+MP f/2.0 S5K3P9 selfie camera. What is keeping the light on is a 4500mAh battery which supports Vivo’s 33W FlashCharge 2.0 and can charge the phone up to 25% in just 10 minutes, the IQOO Neo 855 still keeps the in-display fingerprint scanner of the standard version but it is now 10% faster.
