Xiaomi have just announced the Redmi Note 10-series in Africa just as promised. The series includes the standard Redmi Note 10 and the Note 10 Pro, both of which were launched in Nigeria earlier today with supper aggressive price tags. There are three major areas of differences between these two smartphones, summarized in display, CPU and camera sections below.
Display
Starting from the displays, the standard Note 10 comes in a 6.43-inches screen graced with Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ screen res and just 60Hz refresh rating. This model does not offer 120Hz refresh rate.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro on the other hand comes in a larger 6.67-inches screen, and graced with FHD+ AMOLED panel that support 120Hz refresh rate.
Both models have a centralized dot-notch housing the frontal camera, and both is IP53 rated for dust and splash resistant, but only the Pro model is given Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
Platform (CPU)
Both model source their CPU power from Qualcomm, but with different model. While the standard model depend on an 11nm Snapdragon 678 octa-core SoC, clocked at 2.2Ghz, the Redmi Note 10 Pro runs a more powerful 8nm Snapdragon 732G, an octa-core Chip clocked at 2.3GHz.
Graphic processor on the standard model is Adreno 612, while the Pro model offers Adreno 618. RAM option begins from 4GB, up to 6GB on the vanilla model, while the Pro model is available in both 6/8GB RAM.
Camera Optics
As for the camera department; both has four sensors on the rear; 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP on the standard version and 108MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP on the Pro model.
For Selfie, the Pro model offers 16-megapixel lens, while 13-megapixel snapper is used on the non-pro variant. Although both models are capable of 4K@30fps and 1080p@30/60fps.
Aside the above, other arears of the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro remains same; Android 11 with MIUI v12 is used on both, and you are getting around same 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging on both models.
