Xiaomi has a new gaming laptop in the works, and it has just appeared on Geekbench. The laptop, codenamed TM2211, will come with two model options: an i9-14900HX and an i5-14500HX.
Both models feature high-performance Intel Core 14th generation HX processors, with the i9-14900HX packing 8 large cores and 16 small cores, while the i5-14500HX has 6 large cores and 8 small cores.
The Intel Core 14th generation HX processor is a high-frequency version of the 13th generation HX series. It is currently uncertain whether Xiaomi’s new TM2211 notebook belongs to the Redmi G series, or whether Xiaomi is restarting the Xiaomi gaming laptop series.
The data on Geekbench also shows that Xiaomi is still testing varying clock speeds for these upcoming PCs. So far, the clock speed for the two CPU models has ranged from 2.7GHz for the i5-14500HX, and touching as high as 2.3GHz for the i9-14900HX.
These have also resulted in varying scores, starting from 2,207 single-core and 8,708 multi-core scores for the i5-14500HX, and reaching as high as 2,701 single-core and 15,586 multi-core scores on the i9-14900HX model.
The HX series processors are transplanted from the desktop and are generally used in gaming notebooks equipped with independent graphics. However, the Geekbench platform does not yet show the independent graphics model to power these upcoming Xiaomi notebooks.
In either case, we expect to learn more about these upcoming device in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information.
