LG has started rolling out an Android 10 update to their LG G8 ThinQ smartphone in South Korea. The company actually announced the update last month and it is now that they have started dishing out the latest operating system from Google. It comes with a software version of G820N20c and November security patch, as well as the Android 10. The complete change log would have been so nice but it’s not available at the moment.
LG also announced the Android 10 OS update for the V50 ThinQ in South Korea and now that the company has started rolling out an Android 10 update for the G8 ThinQ, it means that the Android 10 roll out for the V50 ThinQ is no longer far. The company said that the G8 stable update will take some weeks to reach all users, there is currently no information about the global roll out. To recall, the LG G8 ThinQ comes with a 6.1-inch display, it’s a Full HD+ display which means it has a resolution of 1440 by 3120 pixels.
The device has a PPI of 564 and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It’s a P-OLED panel screen with 83.5% screen to body ratio, the display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 855 Chip which has an Octa core processor clocked at 2.8GHz, it runs on Android 9 pie with G UX 8.0 out of the box and Adreno 640 for graphics or gaming. The processor is also paired with a 6gb of RAM and 128gb of internal storage.
In terms of camera, this device spot a triple rear cameras which are the 12mp camera with f/1.5 aperture accompanied by a led flash, 12mp telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 16mp ultra-wide with f/1.9 aperture, on the front, it has an 8mp selfie shooter with f/1.7 aperture, both the front and back camera records video in 1080p at 60fps.
What is keeping the light on is a 3500mAh Li-Po battery which supports fast charging upto 21W.
