Few days from today, the Infinix S5 Pro will be announced in India. In my opinion, this is probably going to be one of the most trending Infinix smartphone at all times due to the popularity the device has even gained ahead of it official launch, which is about 3-days from now. We also have had our share of rumors regarding the upcoming device, some of which includes:
A 48-megapixel main camera
This has been confirmed on the company’s official twitter page, that the S5 Pro will launch with a triple main camera, of which the main sensor will be a 48-megapixel unit. The other two extra lenses could be just a 5-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensing lens.
This means the S5 Pro will be Infinix’s first smartphone to come with a 48-megapixel sensor, the same story which cut across to the recently announced Camon 15.
Full display with pop-up selfie camera.
Aside the 48 MP sensor, the S5 pro is also coming with a full view display tech, which is completely different from the punch-hole screen used on the standard S5, and the S5 Lite launched back in November 2019.
Now, this also means that the S5 Pro is coming with a pop-up selfie camera, which the company has confirmed to be a 16-megapixel sensor. The Tecno Camon 15 Pro has a similar full view screen with a pop-up selfie as well, except that pixel counts of the selfie sensor on Tecno 15 Pro is twice of what’s on the S5 Pro.
New XOS 6.0 Dolphin atop Android 10
Android 11 is already knocking on the door, so it is logically safe to see the first Infinix phone for 2020 run on a stable Android 10 out of the box. But taking the logical out of the way, Infinix confirmed on it official twitter page that the S5 Pro is coming with XOS 6.0 Dolphin out of the box, which is also based on Google Android 10.
So far, the above specifications has been officially confirmed! But few rumors and sources like GeekBench, has also revealed few more things than Infinix official voice. These includes a Mediatek Helio P35 octa-core CPU, same SoC used on the Camon 15-series, pegged with PowerVR GE8320 GPU, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
And if all things are to be equal, the S5 Pro could as well come with a large 6.53-inch HD+ display and a 5000mAH battery. But since the launch date is just 72-hours away, it would be generally safe not to make any form of conclusion until the launch date, which is 6th March, 2020.
