Apple fans are in for a treat with the announcement of a new color option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models. This year, the tech giant has opted for a vivid yellow color, which is a departure from the muted green and purple colors of the previous two years.
The new model boasts an intensely bright yellow glass back panel that falls somewhere between the pale yellow of the iPhone 11 and the deep yellow of the iPhone XR. The aluminum frame of the phone also features the same bright yellow gold color as the iPhone 11 variant, as opposed to the pale gold of the iPhone XR.
However, unlike last year, the new yellow color will only be available on the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models and not on the Pro models. Aside from the new color option, there are no technical differences between the new iPhone models and their predecessors.
Apple has also announced four new colors for its range of silicone cases for all four iPhone 14 models. The colors include Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Iris, each of which is available for purchase at a retail price of $49.
The new yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models can be pre-ordered starting from March 10 at 5:00 AM PST. The new case colors are currently available for purchase.
