Later in September/October this year, Apple will reveal its 2023 models of the iPhone 15-series. This series should still include a traditional four smartphone that will be topped by a Pro Max model, just as it has been since the iPhone 12 series. But when the iPhone 16 series arrives in 2024, it might get an Ultra model, which will be the highest-end of the series.

According to reports, this new model will be positioned above the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It will come with a probable higher price tag as well as a range of improved features to justify the price.

The iPhone 16 Ultra is expected to feature a larger display, faster chip, and improved camera capabilities, including a periscope camera. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the highest-end model of the iPhone 16 series will have a periscope camera, which could indicate that the iPhone 16 Ultra will indeed be the chosen device.

In terms of camera improvements, the periscope camera is expected to offer improved zoom capabilities, better low-light performance, and improved video recording. Additionally, this model is expected to come to have a larger display and faster chip geared at offering improved overall performance and user experience.

Another highly anticipated feature of the iPhone 16 Ultra is the potential removal of the charging port. This is something that has been rumored for a while now and would be a significant change in the iPhone lineup. The removal of the charging port should allow for a more streamlined and sleeker design, as well as potentially faster wireless charging capabilities.
