ASUS has confirmed received Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS) certification for its smartphone with model number ASUS_I007D. We are already aware that the tech manufacturers are gearing up to launch the ZenFone 8 series on the 12th of May. But information on the availability of this device is yet to be revealed. The BIS certification hints at the possibility of the ASUS ZenFone 8 Pro debuting in India, but there have been no confirmations. ZenFone 8 series has been gearing up for its official launch on the 12th of May. The ZenFone 8 series comprises three models: ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 Mini, and ZenFone 8 Pro.
ZenFone 8 Mini Specifications
The ASUS ZenFone 8 Mini is expected to arrive with a 5.92-inch OLED FHD+ display. It has a punch-hole and 120Hz refresh rate. This smartphone has a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor and a brand-new Sony IMX663 secondary sensor in the camera area.
The upcoming smartphone may house a 4,000mAh battery with 30W for fast-charging support. It is likely to run Android 11-based Zen UI custom skin straight out of the box and will likely be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. This device will come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Some of the other features of this device include a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data transmission. Unfortunately, there is very little information and reports on the ASUS ZenFone 8 and the ASUS ZenFone 8 Pro models. They are, however, expected to arrive with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and a 120Hz OLED display. We hope to know more before the official global unveiling on the 12th of May.
