Asus has introduced the ZenFone Max M2 and ZenFone Max Pro M2 into the smartphone market, both as successors to the Asus ZenFone Max M-series announced earlier this year. The new Asus ZenFone Max M2 and the ZenFone Max Pro M2, brings series of improvements over the predecessors in many areas such as; improved design and display, better camera setups, and even the use of a more powerful fire-breathing Qualcomm Snapdragon CPUs.
Asus ZenFone Max M2 and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Display, Processor and Camera
On the display department, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 packs a 6.3-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+, while the ZenFone Max M2 has same display, but with 720 x 1520 HD+ resolution. The display on both device has a 19:9 viewing aspect ratio, and comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor, while the ZenFone Max M2 has Snapdragon 636 SoC clocked at 1.8Ghz.
The ZenFone Max M2 comes in two variants; 4GB RAM and 32GB storage and another with the same 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The Max Pro M2 comes with 4GB RAM and storage options include 64/128GB with support for the microSD card slot. The Pro variant will also have a 6GB RAM variant just like the Pro M1.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M2 packs a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor on the back, coupled with a 5MP secondary shooter. The regular Max M2 has a 13MP sensor along with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 packs a 5000mah, which is 1000mAh higher than that on the ZenFone Max M2. While the Max M2 comes with a metal back, the Max Pro M2 packs a glass design.

As for pricing and availability, the ZenFone Max M2 is already on sales in Russia, with pricing starting at 12990 Russian Rubels, translating to about US$ 194. The higher Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 starts at 17990 Rubles (US$ 269) and will be available for purchase in Russia starting from the 12th of December.
