First OnePlus tablet, the OnePlus Pad with 11.61″ screen goes official

It is indeed a very busy day for the guys over at OnePlus. After revealing two smartphones (the OnePlus Ace 2 and the OnePlus 11R), and a few other devices, the company still went ahead to announce their first-ever tablet dubbed the OnePlus Pad.

The OnePlus Pad is a high spec Android tablet, running on Google’s Android 13 with Oxygen OS v13 out of the box. The device boasts an impressive, yet unique 11.61-inch screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and a non-conventional 7:5 aspect ratio.

With a screen resolution of 2800×2000 and a pixel density of 296 PPI, the display promises to offer an enjoyable viewing experience than most traditional tablets. Under the hood, the OnePlus Pad is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which is expected to deliver benchmark scores above 1 million in AnTuTu.

In terms of memory, the device will be available in two storage variants – 8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB, with the latter being exclusive to India. The tablet comes with a large 9510mAh battery that can be charged quickly with the included 67W charger. The company even promised a full charge in 80 minutes, about 1h:30m.

The cameras on the device include an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera that is capable of shooting 4K video. Other notable features of the OnePlus Pad include Wi-Fi 6 and a gyroscope. However, it does not have mobile internet support or a standard audio output jack.

The tablet comes in a thin 6.5mm body, weighing at just 552 grams. It runs on the aforementioned Google Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1 and can sync with OnePlus phones for OTP verification messages, cellular data sharing and rich text messages. There is also copy and paste, notification sharing and file sharing between devices.

The tablet has Dolby Vision, quad speakers with omni bearing sound field technology which intelligently identifies the screen direction and automatically switches between left and right audio channels for a more immersive sound.

The OnePlus Pad comes in Halo Green color and it will be available to pre-order in India, North America, Europe, and the Middle East from April. The company, however, is yet to reveal the recommended retail price.
