The Nokia 8.3 is the first 5G smartphone from HMD Global, as well as the first Nokia phone with 64-megapixel main camera. It is also the direct successor of the Nokia 8.1 of December 2018. It comes in a tablet-sized 6.81-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The display has a punch hole notch overhead, and comes in a 171.9 x 78.6 x 9 mm body, weighing about 220 grams.
Specification wise, the Nokia 8.3 5G is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G CPU, an octa-core 7nm chip clocked at 2.4GHz, along with Adreno 620 GPU. It has either 6/8 GB RAM pegged with 64/128 GB of internal storage expandable via a dedicated microSDXC.
On the camera department, there are four sensors at the back; the aforementioned 64MP main shooter, featuring PDAF and f/1.9 aperture, pegged with an ultra-wide 12 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a third 2 MP dedicated macro lens and a fourth 2 MP depth sensor. Selfie duties are handled by a single 24-megapixel sensor upfront, with Zeiss optics.
Security options includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI FaceID along with other Android locks. It also supports single or dual Nano-SIMs with 4G/5G networks. There is a built-in 4500mAh battery with supports for 18W fast charging. The device run on Android One-based Android 10 out of the box.
