The Samsung Galaxy A80 is the latest and the highest feature-packed smartphone of the Galaxy A-series. As you expect, so far, the Galaxy A80 is the most priced device of the A-series. The stand out features on this device is the motorized pop-up rotating rear camera, and the built in-screen fingerprint scanner.
The device mount a large 6.7-inch full screen display, resulting into a high 85% screen-to-body ratio. Samsung creatively achieved this, by using a pop up and rotate motorized rear camera, which eliminated the need for a selfie camera. The back camera rotates as front camera.
Specification wise, the Samsung Galaxy A80 is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 CPU clocked at 2.2GHz, integrated with Adreno 618 GPU, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB GB non-expandable storage. At the back, there’s a triple camera modules; a combination of a 48 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lense, and a TOF 3D camera sensor, featuring PDAF, f/1.7 aperture and a single LED flash.
Sadly, despite the huge display, Samsung only bundled a 3700mAh battery in the Galaxy A80, which is about 800mAh smaller than the Galaxy A70. On the brighter side, the device supports 25W fast charging features via a USB Type-C interface, and runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.
