Gionee have just announced an iPhone 13 ripoff smartphone dubbed G13 Pro. Probably the model may be limited to China, since it is powered by Huawei’s HMS. From the rear, the device mimics the camera design of Apple’s iPhone 13, while the front imitates the frontal notch of the phone.
The bezels around the display are heavily compressed on all sides, but we wouldn’t be surprise if the final product does not maintain such a high screen-to-body ratio in real life. The display itself is 6.26-inches HD+ screen, held in a 158 x 76 x 9.2 mm glass body, while the overall weight of the phone is 195 grams.
For a more premium built, the frame of the phone is also said to be metal. Within the body, there is 3500mAh battery. Gionee also claims the battery supports fast charging via USB Type-C, but the specific charging watt is not stated.
Just like the iPhone 13, Gionee’s G13 Pro does not have a physical fingerprint scanner, but relies only on the frontal AI FaceID, which also support closed-eye recognition.
Powering the phone is Apple’s A15 Bionic UNISOC Tiger T310 quad-core CPU maxed at 2.0GHz, along with PowerVR GT7200 GPU. The model has 4-Gigs of RAM and a 128-Gigs of built-in storage.
Coming to the camera department, the phone has two lenses on the rear and a single snapper upfront. The rear sensors consists of a 13-megapixel primary lens along with a secondary depth sensor, while the frontal lens is a 5-megapixel sensor for selfie.
The Gionee G13 Pro is available in Dark Blue, Glow Gold, Brilliant Purple and Graphite Black colors. It is currently on Pre-sale via JD.com, and will ship out from January 29th. The asking price is 699 yuan, an equivalent of $109 US Dollar.
