HHMD Global has, in an event today, unveiled their all new Nokia X6 in Beijing, China. With a minute, I’m not talking about aged Nokia X6 mobile phone launched back in September, 2018. But I’m talking about a rebranded Nokia X6 (2018), running Android OS, and even offers notch display cut-out like seen on iPhone X.
The smartphone comes with a 5.8-inch Full-HD+ display with screen resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s a notch on top of the display, similar to that of Apple iPhone X and the recently announced OnePlus 6 smartphone. Good news is, you aren’t not just getting an ordinary Notch Display, but a Notch covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 in case of unforseen events.
As for the processing power the Nokia X6 (2018) is fueled by the recent Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. The smartphone will be available in three variations: The 4GB RAM + 32GB storage variants, 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage and high version with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. All variants have support for micro SD card upto 256GB.
Coming to the camera department, the smartphone features a dual camera setup at the back, having a 16-megapixel RGB primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front side, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1.0µm pixel size.
The cameras also have support for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology for improved photography. With the AI features on the Nokia X6, you get features such as optimized color, depth of field and portrait lighting effects, as well as face recognition. It also offers the Bothie feature, which enables users to use both front and rear cameras simultaneously.
On the practical security department, you get Face Unlock feature, as well as a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device. The X6 (2018) Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.
The Nokia X6 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, and it is powered by a 3,060mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.

The smartphone comes in three color options — Black, Blue, and Silver. As of the pricing, the 4GB RAM + 32GB internal storage model is priced at 1,299 Yuan (approximately $204) while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model costs 1,499 Yuan (approximately $236). The top-end model with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage will be available for 1,699 Yuan, which translating to around $266.
